WHAT IS NAGELPLIZ ?

Onychomycosis, also referred to by doctors as onychomycosis (from onycho = nail, onychomycosis = fungal disease), is a fungal infection of the nails. In most cases, it is caused by filamentous fungi, so-called dermatophytes, and more rarely by yeasts or molds.

Nail fungus should always be diagnosed by a doctor. In contrast to the treatment of toenail fungus, the treatment of nail fungus is more complicated and takes longer.

If the affected nail is not treated properly, there is a risk that the fungus will destroy it completely and can also infect neighboring nails. Not only does it look unsightly, but it can also cause considerable pain and impair walking.
