EFFECTIVE
What types of hair can be removed and for whom are the treatments suitable?
Laser hair removal is suitable for women and men to permanently remove unwanted hair.
In principle, this method can be used all over the body, i.e. lips, cheeks, chin, back, bikini line, legs, chest, stomach, etc.
Treatment
Laser hair removal mainly destroys hair that is in the early growth phase (anagen). As all hairs are in different stages of growth, consistent hair removal therapy requires several treatments. It also depends on the area of the body to be treated. Our dermatologists will be happy to advise you specifically on the area to be treated.
INFORMATION
How long does laser hair removal take?
Each laser pulse treats an area of up to 9 mm in diameter, which can accommodate up to 25 hairs. The duration of treatment depends on the size of the area to be treated. The treatment of lips, chin and armpits only takes a few minutes, arms and legs are correspondingly longer.
Is laser hair removal painful?
Laser light has a pulsating, sometimes tingling and stinging effect at certain points on the skin. Pain is not usually described, as the laser is permanently cooled to -2°C at the application tip, so that the laser treatment is very well tolerated. If desired, you can also apply an ointment before the treatment.
Are there any side effects?
If the laser is used correctly, no side effects are normally observed after the corresponding obligatory trial treatment apart from slight reddening – a normal reaction to all laser applications. In very rare cases, slight blisters and extremely rare reversible hypo- or hyperpigmentation are described. All these changes are usually temporary and can be corrected by appropriate measures.
